The Russell Lee Collection Project to process and digitize 366 photographs, selected manuscript material, artifacts, and paintings at the Wittliff Gallery, Texas State University-San Marcos, has been funded by a grant from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. We thank them for making it possible to honor the memory of Russell Lee in this way. Project Archivist, Mary Jane Appel, worked with Archivist, Amanda York Oates and Curator, Connie Todd, during the summer of 1999 at the Wittliff Gallery to make this project possible.
